Bryan Anderson -

I'm Bryan Anderson, a contemporary jazz bassist, recording artist, and producer, born and raised on the vibrant west side of Baltimore. With 11 albums to my credit, my music is all about creating "groove music" that goes beyond bass and resonates with listeners from all walks of life.

My musical influences are deeply rooted in the works of jazz legends like Jeff Lorber, Spyro Gyra, Kirk Whalum, Marcus Miller, and Bob James. Their artistry inspires me to infuse my compositions with a diverse blend of island vibes, Latin flavors, soulful melodies, and funky rhythms. Through my music, I aim to deliver a captivating experience that speaks to the heart and gets people moving.

Growing up in Baltimore, surrounded by a rich musical landscape, I discovered my passion for the bass guitar at a young age. I immersed myself in the city's eclectic music scene, allowing its sounds and rhythms to shape my musical instincts and refine my skills. The west side of Baltimore holds a special place in my heart as the birthplace of my artistic journey.

Throughout my career, I've released 11 albums that reflect my growth and evolution as a musician. Each album is a testament to my commitment to explore new musical territories while staying true to my "groove music" roots. My compositions are a fusion of genres, showcasing my versatility and desire to create music that moves the soul.

In addition to my solo work, I've had the privilege of collaborating with esteemed artists from diverse backgrounds, expanding my musical palette and pushing the boundaries of my creativity. Being a bassist and producer allows me to delve into different genres and create exciting musical experiences.

When I step on stage, I strive to create a deep connection with my audience. Whether I'm performing in intimate jazz clubs or headlining major festivals, I pour my heart and soul into every note, aiming to uplift and engage listeners with my infectious energy and dynamic performances.

As a Baltimore native, I'm proud of my roots and the influence they've had on my musical journey. I'm grateful for the opportunities I've had to share my music and connect with audiences worldwide. As I embark on new musical ventures, I'm excited to continue pushing the boundaries of contemporary jazz and create music that resonates with people's hearts and souls.
